Frequently asked questions

Ourdream Chat is an independent guide to AI companion and AI roleplay chat apps. We explain how to create an AI girlfriend, keep a lorebook, pick a chat model, and use images, voice, and video. Links marked “Start” are affiliate links; we are not the app vendor.

Describe her in one line — personality, look, and setting — or open a public character from the library. Choose anime or realistic style, start chatting, and pin important details to the lorebook so the story stays consistent over weeks.

A lorebook (also called a world book, Weltbuch, or livre de lore) is a list of facts — names, places, relationships, rules — that the model pulls into context only when a keyword comes up. It keeps long roleplay consistent without repeating yourself.

You can start free with dreamcoins. Premium is about US$19.99 month to month, or about US$9.99/month billed yearly, with unlimited standard-model chat and a monthly dreamcoin allowance. Regional pricing may apply — confirm the live price at checkout.

Chats are tied to your account and are not public unless you publish a character. Read the app’s own privacy policy before sharing personal details. EU users have rights under the GDPR (RGPD/DSGVO), including access and deletion.
